Those Damn Cookies!

So the annual onslaught has begun... I got my first hit-up at work for Girl Scout Cookies! Thosee things are so darn tasty. I don't need them, of course, but I do want to support the girls and their parents. I got sort of peer-pressured into ordering 2 boxes: one each of my 2 favorites, Thin Mints and Tag-Alongs. The Girl Scout propaganda said that Tag-Alongs are low-fat and I choose to believe them. So I now have about a month or so to clear out room in my freezer for the 2 boxes. I have found keeping them in the freezer is a good plan, not only to keep them fresh but also to keep them sorta "outta sight, outta mind." They do last - I still have 1/2 a box of Thin Mints from last year. I'll start counting up those points soon....

You are so brave. Thin mints are my favorite. Speaking of which...

Found a good lunch combo today: Stuffed Rigatoni Lean Cuisine (the bowl kind) - 4 points; 2 "Everything" New York flatbread thingys - 2 points; and a new-found favorite... WW and Whitman's got together and made 1 point dark chocolate mint patties. So for 7 points, I had lunch, some crunchy bread and a tiny minty/chocolatey dessert. Not too shabby.

for some reason people keep handing me bags of homemade cookies and for some reason I accept, and proceed to eat them all. bad bad bad. maybe I just need to add billie jean to my playlist. hmm.

But the best/worst are the Samoas. Which, are also called Caramel O's or something weird too. It depends where you buy them.

I've not been asked yet!!! Which is sad, but also very good.

Lady B: What are the NY Flatbread thingys? I'm not familiar.... but it sounds like a good lunch!

SA: You are so Wednesday Addams. Is that a good thing? :-)

Shoofly: I would tell you to share the cookies with people at work, but... as long as you keep them on the 4th floor and don't bring them down here!!!

AM: Luckily, I've never really been a Samoas fan. Coconut is not my fave, but I've seen my family devour entire boxes in a single sitting.

Scotte: Avoid it! Run away! :-)

Samoas are my favorite. You only get something like nine cookies in the box, which makes it way too easy to eat them all in one sitting. Freezer sounds like a good plan. Good luck.
