Hunger

Aaargh! It's amazing how hungry you can get just sitting at a desk all day. I've been very good and have been eating little things pretty consistently today. But now my Smart Ones lunch is long gone and my 100 calorie pack snack, and I'm still hungry. The afternoon is the worst time for me, cuz that's when my eyes start wandering in search of chips or chocolate. But I have 2 different kinds of actual fruit snacks (not gummy fruit snacks) and my bottle of water. If I really need to, I do have enough points to go get some soup or a small salad, and I wouldn't mind getting out of the building for a spell. I can make it!

They had some WW success peeps on ABC this morning...probably 300 pounds lost between two people over two years! The one said she dealt with the mid afternoon nibbles with a large glass of water and a little patience...15 minutes until your brain registers that your belly is full. Bubbly water and some flavored waters might deal with some cravings...??

Don't cave!

Woohoo! I just went down to our crappy cafe at work and got a diet Iced tea (0 calories) and a yogurt. The yogurt is good cuz it's sweet and cuz I need more dairy at this point. It's hard for me to get those 3 dairy servings in each day. And it's hard to do all the fruits and veggies, so I'm trying to find ways to shake it up!

You can totally do it doll - I too am feeling the hunger pangs as I tried to eat lighter since I am going to Austin Grill for dinner. But WW definitely can work, it's what you make of it. I'm at 29.8lbs in 10 weeks. I do like going to the meetings, I couldn't do it if I didn't have to step on the scale on 14th street each week! Good luck!

Wow, almost 30 pounds? You rock!!!!

Now I just need to plan for that next blogger happy hour, cuz I'm afraid to figure out how many points are in my beloved chocolate martini. Perhaps a switch to light beer is in order? :-)

For me it's the evenings... I eat dinner around 6:00 and then I'm hungry by 8:00. Diet Iced Tea is an excellent choice - I like diet Snapple with lemon because it's sweet and tastes like a treat.

I made the most rookie mistake at lunch today - had a chopped salad from Corner Bakery and THEN looked at the points on line when I was done. It's like 16 points! Argh! It's popcorn for dinner tonight. Never again will I eat and then check. Rookie rookie mistake!

Lady B, I have made that rookie mistake several times.... really, I should have learned! My biggest "aw damn" moment was when I had a catered dinner from work and the choices were beef, skin-on chicken, and salmon. So I went with the salmon and thought I was being good, cuz the sides were all very light veggies. Well, when I got home and did the points...damn that portion size killed me! It was like 12 points!

Definitely agree with Scotte - drinking lots of water will fill you up like you wouldn't believe. Also, even moderate exercise can help curb your appetite. Can you go out for a quick walk around the block or something? The fresh air can help wake up your brain, and hopefully getting the blood pumping will also curb the munchies a wee bit.
