A Slight Hiccup

I was kinda bad yesterday, but I have recovered and am making up for it. Around late morning I started to feel pretty icky with a bad tummyache, so I went home for the rest of the day. As soon as I got home, I grabbed the first thing in sight - a bag of Lime Tostitos - and chowed down. It did sort of work to settle my stomach, but didn't look so pretty when I counted up the points. I did count them all, which is a good thing in and of itself, and it totaled something like 16 points. Yikes! On chips?!? But I logged it in and then took it really easy for dinner, only eating a 3 point package of Green Giant veggies and cheese. All told, I only used up 4 Flex Points for the day, which isn't really that bad. But I certainly didn't feel good about doing it. Chips and salsa are by far my favorite snack, and I am usually good about not buying them and having them in the house. Cuz when they're there, this is what happens!

But I salvaged the rest of the day, and now it's a new day. Back to eating the good stuff. With this weather, I'm thinking it might be a soup day....

See, I'm worried about you my dear. I think WW should recognize, "ok,you screwed up, but still eat a good well balanced dinner." I hate that you had to eat a light dinner to compensate. Hmmph.

It's no big deal - I slip up/splurge all the time on WW. They allow for it (flex points) and the key is to never feel guilty (my mantra). In fact I plan on slipping up plenty on Saturday - it's my dad's birthday and we're having linguine with white clam sauce with what will surely be far too many bottles of white wine. Pasta and wine... yummmmm.

Velvet: it's okay, I was still so *full* feeling from eating all those chips, the light dinner was actually pretty good. If I had been hungrier, I would have found some more low-point stuff to eat and just used the Flex Points. I have fruits and veggies that I could've added in, but honestly, I just didn't want anything more. If you're gonna binge on something, I guess it's best to eat something that's really filling....

Lady B: I will probably splurge a bit this weekend, too. It's a friend's birthday and I'm heading up to the wilds of Maryland to spend the night. I know there will be wine...and food...Mmmmm....
