Exciting Dinner Plans

I'm going out for dinner tonight, and luckily my gal pals are fellow fans of the best possible WW-friendly dining out fare: SUSHI! I'm excited! I plan to have some tom yum soup and a couple of orders of rolls, plus a glass of wine. It's a lot of food for relatively low points.

I did have a big lunch today, but it was reallly tasty. I went for that Au Bon Pain steak salad and a cup of blueberry yogurt. ABP changed their salad dressings! It's not in the little tubs anymore. Now it's Marzetti brand dressing in the little foil packets. Oh well, it was still tasty. I did decide to treat myself a bit today with a 5-point ABP cookie. But, I counted it and plan to use my Flexies wisely to cover that plus a little of the dinner. Good times.

i saw the pictures from the blogger hh -- you look fantastic!

a salad dressing trick i use is lemon juice. i'm a big fan of tart, and that's usually all i need, so i put lemon juice (0 points) on my salad instead of dressing. if that's too much for you, you can reduce the dressing by half and mix the rest with lemon juice for quantity.

even if it ends up being too tart, i find that saving 5 points on something like dressing makes it easier to swallow. no pun intended. :)

Thanks, Barmaid! :-) I want to go a little longer on this new phase of momentum, but I'm totally planning on posting some "before" and "now" pics soon. There are photos of me from New Year's, the day before I started this and when I was at my uggiest, that are just terrible. So I want to see some difference myself!

My Mom is big on the lemon wedges / lemon juice for her salad, too. I don't eat salads at home very often, so I'm usually relying on what restaurants have. Another trick is I try to reduce the points of pre-made salads by not eating the croutons (like at ABP) cuz I'm not a big crouton fan anyway.

I'm ghetto, I have lemon juice at work and in my purse. Should have mentioned that. :)
